The public is invited to register for this Horse Desensitization Clinic sponsored by the Scottsdale Police Department’s Mounted Unit at WestWorld of Scottsdale. The three-hour class is intended to teach horses and riders to become more self- confident and trusting of one another, as horses will be put through a series of tests to desensitize horses to a variety of obstacles. Officers of the Scottsdale Mounted Unit will combine their 45 years of experience to teach two, three-hour classes on Saturday, May 19. Registration is $$100. The first class begins at 8:00 a.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The second class will begin at 1:30 p.m., with registration at 1:00 p.m. Classes are limited to 15 registrants per session, and participants must be 18 and up. All rides are required to bring their own helmet. A helmet is MANDATORY to begin the session
